Class Descriptions & Times
SILKS
Intro to Aerial: Silk Foundations: Complete Beginners: Sundays 11 AM ( Willow)
Available to aerialists with zero aerial experience. This class covers aerial + ground based conditioning, intro to climbing, intro to inverting, and base poses from the ground. Students can expect to be in this class for 2 – 6 months. Taught by Willow, recent TT graduate.
Silks 2: Advanced Beginning Silks: Wednesday 6 PM (Drago)
Available to students who have some experience with basic climbs, are able to foot lock comfortably from the ground, and are beginning to work on inverting outside of the knot. Students will work on climbing endurance and begin to transition their skills to the air, as well as begin to develop introductory sequences. Students can expect to be in this class up to 1 year. Assessment / video required to enter.
Silks 3: Intermediate Silks : Thursdays 6:15 PM (Drago)
Available to students who have 2+ years of aerial experience, either at Skyhigh or elsewhere. Students should be totally comfortable with in air foot locks, in air hip keys, and have clean inversions from the ground. In this class we work on strengthening in-air inverts, beginning drops, intermediate sequencing. Assessment / video required to enter.
Silks 4: Advanced Aerial (Dragonettes) – Wednesday 730 PM (Drago)
Reserved for Skyhigh performance group.
Dragonettes demonstrate mastery over secondary base poses, ability to sequence complex moves, and drop mastery. Class is by invite only. If you are interested in joining our troupe, integration with the community is a prerequiste.
SLING
Intro to Sling: Complete Beginning Aerialists & Silks 1/2: Sundays 12:30 PM (Storee)
Available to complete beginners and the first of its kind at Skyhigh. Students will learn multiple entrances to the sling, as well as some non-invert based sequencing. Opportunity for growth with the class. Taught by Storee, recent TT graduate.
CONDITIONING CLASSES
Aerial Conditioning: Mixed Level: Mondays 6:30 PM (Drago)
This class is geared towards building awareness of the muscles used for aerial. Students of any level are welcome.
AERIAL HOOP (Lyra)
Lyra 3: Intermediate Aerialists, Lyra expeirence required : Tuesdays 7 PM (Drago)
Small drops, sequenced moves, and dynamics taught. Students must be able to invert with the hoop at head height to enter the class.
